My art journey started when I took a watercolor class. While I did not see immediate results, I persevered, painted daily and eventually created a real painting, worthy of critique. I continued on, painting another and another. In time, I learned to paint with acrylics and started collaging fabric into my paintings.
As a Home Economics teacher I began a four year project making a quilt, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After retirement I made more quilts and two wedding canopies (Chuppas). Eventually, I began to make art quilts, combining my love of painting pictures with my love of quilting.
